I founded Shane M. Jones & Associates, P.A. in 1993, and since then, I have been committed to providing quality counseling for individuals, couples, and families. Many clients have been referred to me from within the Christian community.
However, many others who do not share the Christian faith have also come to trust that anyone referred to my practice will be treated with respect, dignity, and sensitivity to their unique identity and personal beliefs.

Mission Statement
It is my mission to provide quality counseling to my clients and to help them reach the greatest level of emotional and relational health they are capable of achieving. I desire for both the field of mental health and the Christian faith to be represented in a manner that brings respect to each. I hope that every life I touch will be blessed through our work together.
Statement of Belief Utilized by Shane M. Jones & Associates, P.A.
There exists only one God, creator, and sustainer of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally co-existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are the inspired and trustworthy word of God, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of human beings and the final authority for all matters about which it speaks.
Human nature derives from two historical persons, male and female, created in God’s image. They were created perfect, but they sinned, plunging themselves and all human beings into sin, guilt, suffering, and death.
The death of Jesus Christ and his bodily resurrection provides a substitution for us, and the only ground for justification, forgiveness, and salvation for all who believe. Only those who trust in Him alone are born of the Holy Spirit and are true members of the Church; only they will spend eternity with Christ.
The Holy Spirit is the agent of regeneration and renewal for believers in Jesus Christ. He makes the presence of Jesus Christ real in believers, and He comforts, guides, convicts, and enables believers to live in ways that honor Christ.
Ministry to persons acknowledges the complexity of humans as physical, psychological, social, and spiritual beings. The ultimate goal of Christian counseling is to help others move to personal wholeness, interpersonal competence, mental stability, and spiritual maturity.

Philosophy
I believe that seeking counseling from a professional does not mean stepping outside of God’s will or demonstrating a lack of faith. I respect every client’s right to self‑determination, especially regarding spiritual matters.
My desire is to be a yielded instrument of God, seeking His direction in how He would have me intervene with each person I work with. My goal is to ensure that every client feels safe, respected, cared for, and that God is honored in the work we do together.
